Cartron selects bilberries, which are symbolic of the mountain vegetation, and are cultivated at an altitude of 800 to 1000 metres (2500 to 3200 feet), where they can fully mature. The berries used by Joseph Cartron are hand-picked and meticulously chosen. We previously requested fruit samples from various growing areas in order to choose only the most aromatic. After that, all of the leaves and twigs are removed, leaving only the berries. This uncompromising method ensures that perfect fruits, full of flavour and aroma, are obtained, giving Joseph Cartrons Creme de Myrtille de Montagne a pleasing wild note.
Tasting note: There are hints of candy and crystallised fruits in the nose. After spinning the bottle, the fruit has a very high aromatic concentration. The mouth is well-balanced, giving the impression of biting into the fruit. The fruit's sweetness and freshness are well-balanced.
