Zacapa 23 is a luxury rum made with "virgin honey," which is derived from the first pressing of sugar cane, rather than molasses. Zacapa rum is aged in barrels which have previously been used to age American whiskies and wines from Jerez and Pedro Ximénez sherry. Zacapa's secret is its gradual ageing in Guatemala's cold highlands, which results in a final blend of aromas and flavours.

Caramel, vanilla, chocolate, cinnamon, toffee-covered bananas, orange peel, fruitiness reminiscent of cognac, dried fruits, and a fiery brush of cinnamon and ginger a smidgeon of smoke
